MARTIN IS SUPPORTING THE BASH

There can’t be many anglers who haven’t been impressed by the skills of Martin Bowler and now he offers his services to the fund rising efforts of the Big Bash by offering himself as guide for the day to two lucky anglers who place the highest bid on the Big Bash site. All the money Martin raises from the auction will go to breast cancer

Named Angler of the Year by Angling Times his pedigree speaks for it’s self. In 1999 he caught a British Record barbel of 16lb 12oz from the Great Ouse. In 2003 he also held the record for the crucian carp at 4lb 9oz 9dr. As well as writing his popular weekly column for the Angling Times he is the star of the stunning series Catching The Impossible, where he is filmed catching 5lb plus perch, 30lb plus pike and 40lb plus carp. But to Martin it isn’t just about the pounds and ounces he places equal value on the venues he visits. With this in mind the winner of the auction can be sure of fishing in beautiful surroundings with a man who values all that angling has to offer.

The choice can be either watching your float on a summer’s dawn, as it sinks away into the tiny bubbles left by a shoal of feeding tench in an idyllic Oxfordshire estate lake.

Or an autumn’s day, in the beautiful surroundings of the river Wye as you watch the trembling of your rod tip as a barbel drifts over the line.

Martin is even providing lunch. what more can you ask for ?

Whatever is chosen the lucky winners will certainly have a day to remember.

It would make the perfect gift for any angler.

I am only 14 but I think that its still a brillant idea, it gives people a chance to meet there favorite angler and learn from the master him self if i did win i would certainly pick tackling the barbel on the river wye, nothing can beat tackling a wild river for that most olusive barbel, i have caught one dispite trying for them down the hants avon, but is heavly fished. over all a brillant idea and who ever wins is a very lucky person.
